The steam certificate is valid for one year. If you are considering a commercial boiler it must be 'CE' marked if manufactured after 29 May 2002 or it will be considered to be a non-compliant boiler and effectively scrap metal. This 'CE' requirement has been brought about by the introduction of an EU Pressure Equipment Directive.
